We have just completed our new Lewis & Clark "first council" exhibit. This professional exhibit tells the story of how Washington County fits into the Lewis & Clark story, and what happened here on this site. The WCHA has partnered with the Otoe Nation in Red Rock, OK to feature an interactive Otoe language component. We'll be hosting an official exhibit opening and Lewis & Clark art exhibit in late January. Watch for more information about this event.
Historic Picture Calendar - 2017 calendar with pictures and stories of pioneer families. Renew your membership and receive a discounted or FREE calendar, depending on your membership level. Calendars will be available in December at the museum and at selected other locations throughout the county. Call the museum to place your order, and we can mail it to you.
Every Wednesday morning at 10 am the coffee and donuts will be ready for any men with tools and time. We have a number of small projects around the museum that need some TLC from a few able-bodied men. You don't even have to be that able-bodied! Come and advise, and share a cup of coffee with other men - and in the process, give a little of your skill and experience to the community.
The Frahm House will be open periodically for classes and by appointment for tours. Consider renting this lovely Victorian home for small gatherings, wedding or baby showers, ladies luncheons and business meetings. We can assist with catering needs.
Thank you to the estate of Goldie Iverson for her generous support of the Washington County Historical Association. Thank you also to the Allen Cemetery Association for their gift of $30,000
