Big band music was all the rage in the 1920’s to 1940’s. With this exciting new sound came the new swing dances. The Lindy Hop – named for Charles Lindbergh’s “hop” over the Atlantic, the Jitterbug and more. Dan Wondra from the Omaha Jitterbugs will talk about the origins of this music and dance craze that is making a resurgence today, intermixed with demonstrations of different dance styles.
